25-29 May 2011 - Lignano, Italy

4th WUKF World Championships for Seniors and Veterans

The Hungarian team reached 10 medals on the world championships held between 25-29 May 2011 in Lignano, Italy preserving the leading role of the Hungarian Shibamori-ha in the wado-ryu categories.
Unfortunately, we dropped away from the front-rank due to the strengthening standards of shobu-sanbon fights. Not even the revenge on the Russian female team for the fail of the medal in Odessa could compensate our team at this event. Three successful rounds that Vid Romhanyi did on Saturday was not enough either for getting into the final four.

Kata results:

Éva Pásztor - 2nd place Veteran
Anikó Domonkos Erdeiné - 3rd place Veteran
Judit Kresz Dr. - 2nd place
Andrea Rapcsányi - 3rd place
Nóra Major - 4th place
Ákos Nagy - 1st place Veteran
Tamás Major - 2nd place Veteran
András Bánfi - 3rd place Veteran
Vid Romhányi - 1st place
István Sipos - 4th place
